Just got back from the second U2 show in Amsterdam.
Tonight U2 and the audience created the special vibe we all hope happens when we go to the U2 concerts. Yesterday it was lacking, but tonight it was all passion.
Yes, they dropped The Unforgettable Fire from the list, so I can see why the 1-timers felt a little cheated, but we got the debut of no less then 3 songs this evening for this tour.
Elevation, Until the end of the world and Bad with snippet of 40.
For me this was a great surprise and the songs sent the audience into even greater cheers.
I think the mixup is what a lot of fans have been waiting for and they couldn't have picked a better spot then Amsterdam to do it. U2 were on tonight and the people felt it and responded in kind.
The fact that they finally mixed it up promises more possibilities for the rest of the tour.
I'm going again to Wembley and hope it will be as special.
