Just adding one more "adlib" from Bobo - at the end of "Beautiful Day" he motioned for Edge to keep finger-picking the riff, then sang an excerpt from the Beatles "Blackbird" over the top of it.

Very nice, very brave ad-lib that totally worked.

Then Bono went and hugged the Edge, my interpretation was because he was glad that the Edge "got it" and allowed them to create a nice little improvised moment.
