I woke up Saturday and thought i'd try getting tickets from the box office, i'd heard so much about the band "releasing" more tickets on the day of the show but had never tried that method.
It worked! i got to the Pond around 10am and had to wait until 2pm but i was able to purchase 4 floor GA passes for face value! MEGA!
then since i was so beat from the standing in the sun plus the adrenaline rush of getting tickets i went home and didnt return to the Pond until Kings Of Leon were already playing (more of them later) ... they scanned my ticket and i was one of the lucky ones who got into "the bomb shelter" ... so cool ... i never imagined i'd even be at this U2 show let alone 10 feet from the stage ...
like i said, Kings Of Leon were playing when i got there and up close they really sounded good (i know people keep trashing them) but i liked the 4 or so songs i heard ...
U2 was A-mazing ... i dont think i can add anything that wasnt said ... but if you dont have tickets please try the ticket release thing it paid off for me and i would imagine smaller cities would have even less competition at the box office ...
