After seeing Vertigo 2005 @ GM Place the first night. This show seemed a little lacking.
Although I did enjoy the performance by the boys, U2 just didnt pump out enough energetic songs in the setlist to keep the crowd entertained. "In A Little While" and the Acoustic "Stuck In A Moment..." could and should have easily been replaced with "New Years Day" or "Pride".
On the subject of the new material, it was well played but nobody could really get into it. Moment Of Surrender and Breathe we're the best two played. Magnificent wasnt doing much for anyone.
Pulling out some classics such as "Ultra Violet" and playing "Mysterious Ways" 4 songs into the set we're real treats though.
As for the stage itself, the band for the first half of the concert used the 360 stage quite well. Bono and The Edge moving around all the time. Adam Clayton was pretty stationary during most of it.
Halfway through the show, the band sorta gave up the whole 360 thing and stood in the center of the stage for the rest of the show, give or take.
All in all, Vertigo tour had more classic songs played, the band seemed more into it. If they come again ill give it another shot.
