I was not planning to see this concert. I was late for tickets 6 months ago when the concert had sold out, and could not touch the tickets sold by the ticketmasters of the world, because they were much too expensive. But an opportunity came up, and I was invited to attend.
I missed the opening act, so no comments there. I also missed the first few songs.
When I walked in, I was transformed. 'A beautiful day' was playing, the crowd was extatic, and I felt like I had just gone through a black hole, and arrived in a parrallel universe. One where the spirit was moving through the crowd, and the roof was being raised.
The day was indeed beautiful. These 4 people are amazing musicians. But somehow, I felt we were all there for more than their music. We were there because they are able to inspire and energize us. They talk to our ability to dream and hope. They awaken in us ideas for a better world. They give us a gift that we cannot refuse: the gift of endless possibilities.
