They did it again! U2 never sounded better. Despite the awesome visual effects, the music was still the real focus. This time, Bono isn't hiding behind fly shades or Mr. McPhisto and the songs come across much more sincere. If you're reluctant to buy tickets for Popmart because you weren't impressed with the album, POP, I say: Go anyway! The new songs sound better live. Admittedly, I loved POP from the beginning and played it over and over, still I was impressed at how much better the songs were live. The older songs haven't lost anything but for me, highlights were: Miami, Please, Velvet Dress and Staring at the Sun.
