7th time seeing U2. First time out of the states. I flew my wife to Dublin for her 30th birthday to see U2 in their hometown. This was her first U2 show.
The show was good, although could have been better if the band could have came out later after dark and played into the night. The 11pm curfew was a downer. We enjoyed hearing the new songs of NLOTH. Although, not to complain too much, we really wish they would play Crazy Tonight the regular way, and skip the remix version.
They played New Year's Day for the first time on the tour and it rocked. And to my surprise they played Stay (Far away so close)! One of my favorite U2 songs of all time and a delightful surprise. Ultraviolet is great as it was my first time hearing it live as I missed the Zoo Tv tour.
Thanks to U2 for an awesome night and a great weekend in their hometown. Seeing them in Ireland was truly special.
