After standing for 13 hours on Friday I was glad I had seats for the second show in Dublin.
Upper Cusack stand row b, and 3 sections from the stage, a good spot. It was a different perspective. Standing at the right hand B-stage Circle was better overall despite the exhaustion.
The setlist was fairly similar but still sounded Fresh, "All I want Is You" made it's tour debut, and the first track from R & H to be played so far on the tour. "Out Of Control" also was played for the first time on the European leg and Party Girl was excellent, well done "Matt" from Canada who was pulled up on stage to play guitar for the track.
The sight of the standing crowd throwing their hands forward for "Elevation" was very memorable, the new version of Elevation works really well.
Paddy Casey and the Thrills played support very well, Paddy Casey who is really big in Ireland really got the crowd going, unfortunately the German girl who was in row A in front of me reading her magazine to even bother to lift her head during his set, and never got up at all during the whole concert, took 4 pages of notes during U2 and left with 30 minutes to go. Why do these people bother to go to the show ?
Another great show by U2, they are really in their stride, and if we all though the last tour was U2 at the peak of their live powers, we were wrong, they are as hungry as ever !
