WOW, Bono said it best (at least 6 times!!!) The energy in Salt Lake City was amazing last night. SLC always seems to have some die hard U2 fans, and the noise was unbelievable. After Streets, the applause was so deafening, Bono commented that "We were a noisy bunch of people" I attended the Glendale, AZ concerts earlier in the year, but Salt Lake was way more into the show. Even the entire upper bowl was on their feet and swinging to the music from beginning to end.
Only complaint wish the set list would have been mixed up a little more. Wanted to hear Crumbs, Bad, or Gloria. Bono nailed Pavoratti's parts on Miss Sarejevo. Amazing. Oh well, still the best live show on the planet.
Kanye recieved a nice applause at the end of his set, and was an interesting opening act, although not nearly as good as the two previous opening acts for U2 in Salt Lake (No Doubt and Rage).
Edge was on fire once again, and the sound was surprisingly good for how cavernous the Delta Center is.
Overall a fantastic show and a great way to start the holidays.
Utah loves U2.
