This was my 9th show of the Vertigo tour and I have an interesting perspective having seen them for the six shows in Los Angeles, in addition to Minneapolis and Milwaukee. After the last show in LA my girlfriend and I agreed that we had to see them one more time. They did not, nor do they ever disappoint.
The SLC crowd was unbelievable - right up there with Milwaukee. I have a theory that when U2 plays only one show in a particular area, the crowd tends to be more appreciative.
I was disappointed that they did not play Bad or Crumbs, but I had the opportunity to hear those songs at least once during the 9 shows.
I must conclude that I would not go to the lengths that I have to see a band other than U2. So as my parting remark to a certain band that has stated that they aspire to eventually hold the mantle of U2 (Coldplay), until you come up with a half-dozen songs that are as memorable as the songs that do not even make the setlist of a typcial U2 concert, you have a long way to go and you'll need to find something called true inspiration before you can even feel worthy.
