This is my third U2 concert, and best one by far! I took my husband who had never been to one--he had meant to go to the Joshua Tree tour, but ended up grounded at age 14. Alas his Joshua tour ticket has gone to a U2 concert.
We were right off center in front of the ellipse and we're able to see everything up close. The lighting was great, graphics fantastic. And as usual Bono was in his element, and super talkative.
My favorite highlights included his tribute to his father, his attempt at Opera (which was definitely above average even though he got a couple of Italian words mixed up), and Sunday Bloody Sunday when he mentioned this is our song now.
If I had the time to tour with them, I would definitely do it. I'd love to go to a concert in Europe or South America. And I hope he wasn't kidding about "just starting."
All in all, I think U2 is back. Their last 2 albuns have a new edge without comprimising their background. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy the funky pop'esque stuff. Great for clubing!
