Arrived in good time to secure our place in the inner circle, and catch up with a few old friends from previous tours. The support acts warmed the crowd up well, though we had a concern that the Sheffield Sunlight was affecting our view of the stage!. After the fun of seeing the lighting techs get their moment of fame as everyone seemed to be photographing them being put into position on the claw, the boys arrived to a rapturous welcome on stage and kicked in with tracks from the new album. As the the concert progressed, it just got better and better. We were fortunate that one of the moveable bridges came to a halt just above us and we got a great view of The Edge as he strutted over it during Magnificent. The highlight for my wife and myself was The Unforgettable Fire, which was... unforgettable !...with the wonderful lighting display coming to prominence. City of Blinding Lights was another highlight and Streets and With or Without You never fail to please. Overall a good mix of new and old to ensure everyone went home happy. We must compliment the flawless organisation from start to finish, from marshalling the queue for the early arrivals, to the traffic flow at the end of the gig. Despite legs so stiff that they didn`t want to move at the end, we`re looking forward to the next tour...
