I was 16 years old, and living in Rutherford, NJ. A friend and I didn't have tickets ... or a car, but decided we'd try and go to the show anyway and walked down Route 3 to Giant's Stadium.
As we walked, we met up with random groups of people on the "pilgramage" to see the show. At one point, we met up with some people who had two extra Mezzanine tickets at the far end of the stadium, and they offered them to us at face value. We took those initially.
As we continued our journey, we were walking around the final clover-leaf heading into the stadium, and a car with a canoe on the roof pulled over. A man came out and offered us 2 General Admission floor seats! We explained we probably couldn't afford them, and that we already had tickets. He offered to take the tickets we had in trade, plus an additional $10.00 each. We were a little skeptical of counterfeit tickets ... but we decided to risk it ... and we're glad we did, because they were genuine.
It was absolutely euphoric to experience that show from the floor. The crowd was genuine, friendly and enthusiastic. Everyone around us danced through the whole show, or swayed in unison to the slower song.
The memory of this night has hung fresh with me for nearly 20 years.
