Just got back from a rainy drive home!!! Great concert, although my seats weren't as good as I thought. I had front row in the mezzanine section, side stage to Adam. The biggest disappointment for me was the fact that "UNKNOWN CALLER" was dropped from the setlist. That song is probably the best song of the new album and must be great live. I think it was a good move for U2 to start out with 3 new songs instead of their usual 4 or 5. I think "Breathe" is a good song, but should not be the opener, I felt that to be weak. "Magnificent" would make a fantastic opener, "Breathe" felt like a warmup to the real show. The setlist was cool, was surprised to hear "New Years Day" although Edge's guitar was having trouble during the lead. "Unforgettable Fire" is an awesome addition to this tour.
I wish they would mix up the encore and add a few more songs before "Moment of Surrender." I'm so glad they dropped "Pride" from the setlist.
I'll be back tomorrow, I hope they play UNKNOWN CALLER!!!!
