well what can i say about this show.any show that features the whole of side 1 of the joshua tree cant be bad.the band were on fantastic form and seemed well up for it.some of the crowd reactions were legendary especially to electric co and sunday bloody sunday.highlights for me were a beautiful running to stand still and an almost prayer like yahweh.vertigo 2 was outstanding.the only downside for me(a point raised by many)was the positioning of the stage.from where i was standing a lot of people could not get a great view of the band.i would suggest that any future scottish u2 stadium shows should revert back to celtic park where if anyone can remember the legendary zoo tv shows were played.hampden park is not a good "venue" for a rock show.anyway on we go to dublin on saturday for u2's return to croke park.hope to see you there. cheers john ps a big thanks to mark and elaine in getting the croke tickets-i am forever in your debt!
