I went to the final show of the first leg of this tour, and although it was an excellent concert, the one in New Orleans was much better. I was lucky enough to sit in the 1st row of section B4, which is where the band enters from. It was amazing to see how focused they were. The best song of the night was the addition of Sunday Bloody Sunday. The Edge sounded amazing, I only wish they had done more songs acoustic. Despite the echo of the Superdome, and bypassing the 1st 4 songs, Bono sounded excellent.

The only real complaint I have regarding this tour is that they don't alter the set list at all. I'm sure its because they are tied into the video screens and need to keep in cink with their video display, but it sure would be nice to throw in a few surprises once and a while.

I keep hearing many questions about the band's future. My opinion is that this will be U2's last stadium tour and that they will only play smaller locations on their next tour, which I think they will excel at. I also think that the band seems tired, as they have been beat up pretty badly on this tour. With that in mind, I believe they will take quite a bit of time off. I envision not hearing from them again until New Years Eve 1999. My guess is they will begin the new decade in strong fashion and once again prove that they are the best band of all time.
