U2 is unable to disappoint this fan. Although I disappointed myself, in that I allowed some less than appreciative "fan" reviews of this tour undermine my anticipation for last night's show. My brother and I were lucky enough to be in attendance last night at the Garden and dispelled those opinions. U2 came out aggressive, passionate, and heartfelt. Who would've thought we'd see Bono and Larry sharing a microphone? Cell phone lights illuminating the building - all for a worthy cause.
I'll never grow weary of hearing Streets, Pride, One, or Bullet. Running to Stand Still was absolutely perfect. Electric Co. and The Black Cat..I never thought I'd hear those live!
After the show, my brother and I were two of about 30-40 fans waiting at the back of the Garden with the hopes of getting a glimpse of the band. After about two hours we all cheer as we see Bono and Edge. They graciously walked over and waved. My brother and I were in the right place and got to shake hands with Bono and Edge. Very surreal!! The grandest band in the world, after putting on such an exhaustive show, at 2:00 am, they were kind enough to say hi and thank their fans...those of us who are true fans know that U2 will never disappoint us. Looking forward with high anticipation to October NYC shows!!
