Saw the show last night and absolutely loved it. I have been a fan almost since the beginning and have been fortunate to catch at least one show every tour since the Unforgettable Fire in 1985. They never fail to please. Tonights show was full of energy and passion that could be felt in my seats on the roof (sec 417, but great seats). Edge was on fire as usual. Loved hearing him wail on Electric co. and so happy they included this in tonights setlist, although it seemed as though a number of people in attendance didn't know it. Adam too was on fire. His bass seemed to be played with great passion and emotion as always. Larry pounded a good steady beat even sharing the mic with Bono for some backing vocals. Haven't seen Larry sing since he did Whiskey in the Jar in Toronto during Zoo TV. Bono's voice was solid and he was spot on with all notes. His passion for the songs was evident and when he hit that high note in 'Sometimes', I damn near lost it. They threw Original of the Species into the setlist which was well done and of course as they have been doing replayed Vertigo to close out the show. I would have liked to have heard BAD and '40' but you can't expect them to play it all the time. Loved the setlist nonetheless. This band always delivers and tonight was no exception. They are also very appreciative of their fans. I too waited along with brother, sister-in-law and a small group of people until 2am behind MSG and was rewarded with a handshake from both Bono and The Edge. In fact, when I told edge that I would see him in Toronto he replied with 'right we'll see you in September'. They walked out did a quick tour of the crowd, shaking hands and even hugging the girl in front of me and then hopped into their SUV's and left a small already happy crowd, ecstatic. I look forward to seeing them in Toronto and Buffalo during the 3rd leg of the tour. Oh, just a quick suggestion for the band.....get out One Tree Hill for some future shows. I realize the significance of the song for the band but it brings me to tears everytime.
