just made it back from new york -- and i'm still in the emotional recovery/exhaustion/let down stage. i've read numerous reviews from the tour -- good and bad -- and i'm just going to say i fall in line with the "any u2 concert experience goes on my list of 'big' life experiences" philosophy. they could never let me down, especially not in msg!!
the energy and overall vibe was amazing, as many have said. the building vibrated and breathed from the second the took the stage. we were in section 327 (sort of diagonal behind adam) and i have to admit the seats were awesome -- i got a great perspective that i didn't see during the first show in san diego (on the floor). i was pretty happy with the set list -- not too many surprises -- but i was thrilled that we got original of the species, and i actually thought the vertigo encore kicked ass. but the cover of david bowie's 'jean genie' was possibly my favorite. i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure bono was ripping the guitar on that one. he needs to do that more often...
great night. great concert. and my husband may even start to understand why i'm seeing five shows during this tour!!
can i really survive six months until las vegas?!?!?!
