This was my first show on the third leg after attending 4 shows on the first leg. Overall, this was my 21st U2 show and this one didn't disappoint. I sat on Edge's side of the stage in the lower level. The band sounded great and Bono's voice was strong. The late arriving crowd was really into the show, as is typically the case at MSG. Bono made several comments about New York and the crowd, and near the end said he didn't want to leave New York. Extra verses were played during "One" ("Can you hear us coming Lord...") and "With Or Without You" ("We'll shine like stars..."). There also was a snippet of "Rockaway Beach" during "Vertigo". Bono brought a young girl (7 or 8 yr. old) up on stage during "Sunday Bloody Sunday". SBS was the best I've heard on this tour. "Crumbs", "Miss Sarajevo", and "The First Time" were great to hear live, as I had not heard them before. I wasn't a big fan of "Fast Cars" on the album, but they did perform it well live. Edge seemed to really enjoy playing this one. A different girl was brought on stage during "Fast Cars" and she did have some good moves for Bono. Another girl almost made it on stage during "With or Without You", but Bono kinda teased her and left her by the railing.
All in all, a great, memorable show. I'll post pictures once I download them. Looking forward to the final night at MSG on the 14th....with any luck I'll get in the ellipse!
