I was lucky enough to visit Germany during the 3rd week of September to experience Octoberfest in Munich and and U2 in Berlin. Several childhood friends and I flew over from New York for the festivities. Octoberfest was really fun but seeing U2 in the city they recorded Achtung Baby was surreal. We visited Hansa Studios and saw U2 blow the roof off of Mercedes Benz Arena all in one day! The band was very excited to be back in Berlin. Edge was dancing around stage more than usual while Bono referenced Hansa Studios and feeling very much at home in Berlin. Zoo Station was a wonderful surprise to hear live in Berlin on top of One, Mysterious Ways, Even Better than the Real Thing and Until the End of the World. Amazing set list to kick off the series of four concerts! The crowd was subdued at the beginning but quickly ramped up into a frenzy once the show started. The show was definitely worth all the time, effort and expense to "Experience" U2 in Berlin!
