This was it - the first time I ever saw U2 live - and what a performance! It had taken me ages to get tickets for this concert. I'd spent ages on the phone, but the whole tour had sold out. On the very day of the concert my friend Mark sold me his ticket - grateful or what! It was a fantastic show. They were just something else - an unforgettable (fire!) experience. And the support band, The Waterboys, were brilliant too. Became a fan of them after seeing them live. I hate to say that I didn't get to see U2 live for the first time until 1984, but it was well worth the wait - and the tickets were a lot cheaper than for the Vertgo tour, that's for sure!
