I am still in shock over the amazing show that I saw last night. The last time I saw U2 was 10 years ago for Zoo TV and that was good, but this was beautiful. The best part was how raw and pure the show was with it's minimal set. This show was about one thing: the music. The highlights for me included the audience chanting '40', the lead in for Where the Streets Have No Name, and Sweetest Thing to name a few. The set was very well put together spanning their almost all the albums, but it was missing one song that most everyone was in agreement about: Pride. In talking with some other fans we seemed certain that they would have played either MLK or Pride just because of where they were. Bono was ever the performer dancing, prancing, limping, running, kissing, and playing to the crowd at every moment. He never would miss a beat even when at the end of The Fly he jumped into the GA section and ran through the crowd. The four or five giant screens that hung down over the stage for New York and several other songs were great they gave the scene of Bono singing something magical. The opening ot Mysterious Ways with Bono laying on top of the video monitor was great also. In all it was far and away the best show I have been to and I will never forget it. Thank you very much to Bono, The Edge, Adam, and Larry you guys are the greatest.
