I took my camera to the show and finally got them scanned. If anyone wants to exchange more, let me know.
U2.com reported that Atlanta was the first show on the tour where U2 pulled the rabbit out of the hat (so to speak). All along I sensed something going on that was different from any other concert I'd been to (previous U2 shows included). It seemed stuck in time - is 'transcendental' going too far? Highlights include getting inside the heart (despite security botching things up a bit), pulling a copy of the setlist off the stage (at least long enough to take a pic), recognizing the girl next to me during 'sunday bloody sunday' (Nelly Furtado)...and telling her how much her set rocked -it really did- only to have her not even LOOK at me. C'mon Nelly, you're not THAT famous. Walking around and discovering the BEST spot is in the middle, back towards the tip of the heart. 'In a Little While', when the bass and drums kicked in. 'Bad' and 'Streets' back to back...Bono an armlength away screaming 'not fade away', and then turning my head to see God play guitar under a blue light... Running up to the main stage to get a friend, then running back in time to see a solid red backdrop and blue lights leading into 'Streets'- does it get any better? All you can do is raise your fists and yell until your chest hurts. You leave the place shaking and sweating and feeling like you're drunk. The whole night was surreal.
