This was my first U2 show. I was just 18 and had been a fan for a couple of years. Seeing the set list brings back memories - the stage lit in swaths of orange, white and green like a giant illuminated Irish tri-color, the peak in "Bad" and standing on my chair singing until I had no voice left, then finding it again in time to join in the euphoria of "40" at the end of the show. I had never thought so many people could be so connected as 10,000 people continued, "How long..." all the way out of the arena and into the parking lot. It was far from my first concert but it might as well have been. It was the show that established a connection to U2 for me that will last a lifetime.
