I was visiting my older sister at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and we were able to see U2 perform. I had not heard of them as an upcoming band back in 1981, but was mesmerized and I've been a fan ever since. I am going to their 360 Tour in Tampa on October 9, 2009! Twenty-eight years later and they are the most phenomenal band (especially live)ever!
Thanks for the memories, guys.
On a sad note... a few years later when I was attending UF, the historic building on campus that they performed at (The Ratskeller) had a fire and burned to the ground.
