This was my 7th time seeing U2, but, being from Australia and having only ever seen them play in Sydney, it was my first time seeing them at an indoor venue, so I was really excited about that new experience before the show. It was great getting to know some other fans in the GA line and waiting on the floor.... I met some old time fans and quite a few first timers, which was great.
THe energy and excitement in the crowd was great from the opening notes of "The Miracle" right through until "Still Haven't Found". I loved hearing all the new songs, they translated really well live. It was a real privilege seeing them performed for the first time.
Bono seemed to be showing no signs of his injury last year and moved enthusiastically around the stage (as he always does!)
With no support act, I was exepecting the show to go a little longer, but they played for about the same length as they would for a normal show. I missed hearing Elevation, but that was made up for by seeing Edges guitar solo for "Bullet the Blue Sky" up close.
Overall, a fantastic experience, that I feel blessed to have been at.
