This was my first time seeing U2 live. After missing Zoo TV and Popmart, I would have to say that April 20th in San Jose exceeded all of my expectations. I wasn't able to get general admission floor tickets but the seats I did get - directly to the left of the stage proper - had probably one the most awesome views from reserved seating. Bono stated early on that tonight was going to be special and the band delivered on that promise in a big way. The introduction of Kite sent the entire house screaming for joy. The sheer energy of the crowd shouting every lyric to every song was nothing short of phenomenal. It was the unity of the crowd with the band that made this night memorable. I definitely have to see them on this tour again. Next time it is going to be inside the heart.
