I met Bono after the Zoo Tv show in 1993 in Lakeland. (Best concert ever...period) I have loved this band since the early 80's. I had great seats for this Tampa show and had been eagerly awaiting this show for almost 1 year.
I just do not understand these Tampa people. No wonder U2 only does one show here. Not only was I one of the few in my section singing and screaming, but "fans" were actually leaving for long periods of time. There were 10 empty seats on either side of me and my wife for the entire 2nd half of the show. I believe the lackluster response from the crowd led to the lackluster encore we got. U2 loves to feed off crowd response and this crowd was lame. Next time we will fly to Vegas, Cali, Miami, or NY to see them and be with real fans who appreciate seeing the best band in the world.
