by John Cropp
Phenomenal band. Phenomenal crowd. Songs sung with loud voices from start to finish. Band sounded like a freight train at full speed. Bono's operatics were amazing. The kids were great. Ms. With or Without You was... much taller than her dance partner! The kid on the spotlight at the end (because Bono forgot to get him from behind the kit at the end of "Yahweh") was great. The lack of theme portions ("Boy" block / "Achtung" encore) allowed the show to flow as one.
I was "Elipsed" by the party in front on me (five in with a win? okay!) and spent the whole show at the back by the stairs. The moment caught by Tim Petree where Bono is huddled prior to take off features as disturbing image of myself with my head on fire (orange swirls just to the right of my bald skull). Quite possibly the most exciting 15-30 seconds of my life.
