We attended the June 29th Miami Show Great concert! Redzone 1 was great because that's the section they walk in onto the stage and they parade a more than a few times on the catwalk, so you get to be really close up to the Bono and the band members. I read in some other blogs there was supposed to be merchandise vendors and bathrooms for the Redzone areas but there was no such thing at this venue. With two todlers at home and and expensive hourly babysitter my clock was ticking and had to leave before my SUV turned into a Mango or something at the stroke of midnight. Which meant I had to leave without the merchandise I anticipated buying. Redzone is worth the money if you can have it for several reasons, the charity, the convenience and it's not so crowded. There is only one way to get in and out of the RZ and General admission was a good section if you got there at opening gate hours early enough before to get into the inner circle with a special wristband you were given which would put you closer to the stage. The guys all did an amazing job at entertaining Miami with lots of Cuban shot outs for political prisoners. As a Cuban-American Miami Native it was another reminder of how this particular band is aware of the demographics they entertain in. U2 has always been my all time favorite band to listen too, run with, spin along, sing along and now I teach my little girls the meaningful lyrics. All in all it was fun and exciting and brought me back to the happy place in life before the mainstream conventional life of hubby, kids, and carpool this concert took me emotionally back to the first U2 concert I ever attended. It was awesome to relive the experience with my partner and celebrate the moment in my new life.
Thanks U2 it was more than just a concert.
my new life.
