I'm an enormous fan and had huge expectations. I saw them for the first time ever in '93 and I was so blown away I just had to have every thing that mentioned the words U2.
The whole show was superb. The hype at the beginning, building up with Mission Impossible and Pop Muzik got the crowd going. I think Bono revelled in the wet, especially when it started pissing down. It's all just a blur now.
Nothing short of sensational.
I can't think of a band around today that can marry extravagance and passion so well. I think that's what makes it so special. Highlight for me? "Gone" was great and they really nailed "Please".
