Finally after nine years, the boys return to Sydney and it was worth the wait. We managed to find a decent spot on the feild about halfway down. As the Arcade Fire kicked in and the house lights went out, the 80000 in the stadium went bezerk and it was on for young and old. The boys played the same set as Brisbane, and were in fine form, however the gig was slightly let down by poor sound (huge reflections from the massive stadium roof). Anyway, it was a fitting return after soooo long and everyone seemed to have a great night.
Snippets tonight included Kylie Minogue's "spinning around" during the bridge in Elevation, Joy Division's "Love will tear us apart" during With or Without you and a tailored Sydney verse in Beautiful Day (something about the sails of the opera house)
Great night, great show.
