Speechless!!! That is how I felt leaving the Thomas & Mack Arena Sunday evening after seeing possibly the best U2 show in the 16 year history of shows I have been privy to. My wife, my sisters and I were in the front of the stage for this tremendous show. This is the sixth show on this tour that I have had the priviledge to attend and a few things come to mind. First of all, the interior of the heart still ROCKS. I have been in the heart for 5 of the 6 and it is the best place to witness this band perform. Secondly, all for of the band members were perfectly in sync tonight. They were the epitome of a cohesive singular sounding BAND. Adam's bass provided the important undercurrent for each and every song. The Edge's performance was scorching, very impressive! Bono's vocal mastery was evident tonight more so than on any previous show on this tour. And Larry was the glue that held the band together.

The song selections were wonderful, of course there is always more that I would love to hear live, but we all want that 5 hour history culminating rock of ages performance, don't we? "Until the End of the World" was fantatsic. "I Will Follow" sounded fresh tonight. "Streets" like always is so spiritually uplifting. "Please" and "Wild Honey" were a welcome addition. I could go on but every song was performed in a tighter much crisper fashion this evening and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

There is no doubt (No Doubt by the way were awesome...Gwen can shake her money maker as they say) that U2 is the BEST BAND ON THE PLANET. If anyone has their doubts go to a show and witness them for yourselves, you won't be disappointed! Even Eddie Vedder was "rockin in the free world" tonight while consuming the U2 show.
