I had the pleasure and distinction of seeing their show for the 15th time and I am glad they hang around to bring us their crestive wisdom and passion about things other than music. This particular show was the main event, the big Saturday night spectacular place to be. U2 performed to the task of the hysterical hype we all had after months of waiting. They all played strongly to their strengths and had a marvelous song layout amongst thier wide range of songs and eras of influences. Was it the greatest? How could it be really after all these years but it was passionate, exposing alot of newcomers to theyre history and what they stand up for. I was quite suprised with Adam roaming and it was refreshing to see him, Larry looked great and Bono sung and spoke it from the heart and sung from the soul. There where occassions when I wondered what he might be saying, it wasnt clear but he has no problem being vocal so maybe he was praying, wishing, dreaming out loud. I walk away feeling good and energized and once again felt like a part of something, a movement or celebration amongst fellow mates. The crowd was into alot of it sung and competed against Bono and felt very intimate at times. I can only imagine how it is to get up theyre every night and feel your best, sound ryhmatic and get better, U2 dosent dissapoint and brought Chicago closer, If for one night, we all were one. Thanks dont ever quit fighting for people with no voice or choice and sacrificing it for what you believe in.
