U2 redeemed itself in my eyes tonight after a less-than-stellar opening night in Chicago which resulted in bad reviews in the area's three main
papers. Reportedly there was a band and crew meeting before Monday's show to acknowledge Saturday's subpar performance and say everyone must do better including the band itself.
Tonight's stand finale was markedly better than opening night. The passion was there tonight. Bono and the boys were focused and intense
the whole night.
However, I still think the magic was missing. I think it has to do with putting out a modestly good album and the fact that this tour doesn't
really have a strong theme or purpose like the last handful.
Tonight's show was very entertaining and enjoyable though, which renewed my faith in the band after Saturday's performance had me wondering if I was watching the demise of the band.
