Well after reading every SINGLE review of every show on this tour, I finally got to experience the boys in person on Sunday night in Philly. I was worried that they would be flat after the MSG show, but I thought the show rocked!
We had seats behind the stage, so I'm not a huge fan of the light curtains that go down and up. (prefer those up)
I did notice the names didn't come up at the end of one. I texted mine in anyway. I thought the girl who was called up handled herself well. It was funny, she thought she had to get off the stage, but Bono was trying to get her to run "a lap" around. That she ended up for With or Without You must have been the highlight of her life.
Gloria live was great. WOWY was an unexpected surprise. I told someone in the parking lot "there's no way they're going to play that, so don't count on it!"
I saw Zoo TV in 1992 outside and AB is one of my favorite albums. That said, I thought last night's rendition of Zoo Station was weak, at best.
Overall, despite being exhausted from the MSG show the night before, I thought the concert as a whole was GREAT.
Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie appeared in the tunnel next to my section for the final encore and I told him not to give Terrell Owens any more money on the way out.
I'm glad I went to Philly #2 and not Philly #1. Now I will make arrangements to get tickets for October when they return!
