U2's upcoming Experience + Innocence tour will be "the first concert tour to incorporate augmented reality." That's a quote attributed to Willie Williams in the latest issue of Rolling Stone magazine, which includes a preview of several 2018 tours. U2's longtime tour designer also says the E+I tour "staging takes that of its predecessor to a new level," referring not to last year's Joshua Tree 2017 tour, but the 2015 indoor Innocence + Experience tour.
Deena Dietrich tweeted the brief U2 E+I tour bit earlier today, which says U2 plans to play longer sets and tells fans to expect plenty of new songs, hits and "rarities that the band is excited to be playing live for the first time." Here's the full Rolling Stone bit from Deena's tweet.
