U2 has performed 8 times in Forum. Those performances included unique songs and an overall total of 173 songs.
Forum is located in Inglewood, California
The Forum opened in 1967 and was home to the NBA's Los Angeles Lakers and NHL's Los Angeles Kings until they both moved to the Staples Center in 1999. Laker's owner Kent Cooke built the arena in order to found the Kings as an expansion team. It was designed by Charles Luckman to evoke the Roman Forum. Renamed the Great Western Forum from 1988 until 2003, it has been unoffically known as the Fabulous Forum and the Los Angeles Forum.
Many live albums have been recorded partially or completely at the Forum including Cream's Goodbye, Led Zeppelin's How the West Was Won, The Jackson 5's Live at the Forum, The Eagle's Eagles Live, The Bee Gees' Here At Last... Bee Gees... Live, Kiss' Alive II, and Michael Jackson's film This Is It.
MSG purchased the Forum in 2012 and extensively renovated it. It reopened in 2014 with six concerts by the Eagles and was the site of the Mtv Music Awards later that year.
Prior to the iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE Tour, U2 had only played the Forum in 1986 on the all-star Conspiracy of Hope Tour.
The Forum is located at 3900 W Manchester Blvd, Inglewood, CA 90305-2200
