San Diego Sports Arena is a multi-purpose arena located near the Old Town area of San Diego. It opened in 1966 and has been home to the NBA's Rockets (1967-1971), Warriors (1971-1972), and Clippers (1978-1984).
The arena has been a popular music venue througout its history with such notable acts as Jimi Hendrix, Elvis Presley, Bob Marley, Queen, and Nirvana.
The arena has been renamed several times since U2 last played there in 2005.
The venue formerly known as San Diego Sports Arena is located at 3500 Sports Arena Blvd in San Diego, California.
