This was my first (and only...so far) Vertigo show and 6th overall, and although nothing will take away the magic of my first U2 show as a teenager in 1991, this is a close second! The band was tight tonight! Bono's voice was amazing. The Edge did perform like he was from outer space to paraphrase Bono; the sonic boom emanating from his guitar was out of this world. It was great to see Adam truly enjoying himself. And Larry blew me away with his thunderous drumming; I even caught him singing along! Although I was dissapointed that Boy, October, and Pop were ignored (I have yet to hear Gloria live!), the set list was cohesive and great. Among the (many) highlights: I rediscovered the beauty of "...Wild Horses." Who needs Mr. Pavarotti when you have Bono's beautiful voice in "Miss Sarajevo," "Sometimes You Can't Make It..." was emotional, and "Vertigo" rocked! Another (personal) highlight was getting a text message from Bono and then seeing my name sharing the same screen as the band I idolize. Props go to my fellow Miamians and all of the out-of-towners who blew the roof off the AAA. Thanks to us the band had an awesome time! I cried genuine tears of joy three times. I could not believe how close I was to my hero Bono and his mates that make up the greatest band in the world!!!
