WOW What a show !!!
Is it OK to flirt in Miami ??? And we wonder...
Every time you got out from a U2 concert....it's like you've been set to listen to the angels sing in heaven. This is my 2nd U2 Concert (1st was Elevation in Ft. Lauderdale) and one thing is for sure with these Irish Fantastic 4 ....They are like the old wines: getting better along the ages !!!
U2 has a really special feeling for playing in Miami. You can notice it on Bono's speech, in Edge's sounds from the future, in every Larry's drum and in each of Adam's notes. These Guys really enjoy playing here.
Me and my Wife had GA tickets thanks to the U2.com fanclub !!! and we started to make a line about 8:45 in the morning. After almost made a living there on the line, we finally made it into the Arena around 6:30 PM.....believe me that the wait was worth it !!! We even saw Bono getting to the Arena on a Black Pick Up Truck and he gently waved to all of us who had been there since very early in the day.
We secured very good spots just close to the catwalk from where Larry and Adam used to walk. Our view was really one in a million !!!
The show began with the magnificent City of Blinding Lights in a very "Confetti from Heaven" way, then came the "Gente Caliente" Spanish lessons with Vertigo. And after it, "Elevation" rocked the house !!!
Good to see back to back Mysterious Ways again with Until the end of the World...I reminisce those Achtung Baby Days a lot !!!
Miracle Drug was introduced with a very funny Story about "The Edge" coming from the future !!! where the Gas gallon is 39$, but to live there it's definitely better !!!
The show was very getting very touching while time passed on. On that day Bono's Dad would have turned 80 !!! This made the song "Sometimes you can't make it on your own" a truly living memorabilia. I won't ever forget when he took his sunglasses off and dedicated the song to his old man.
The War part with Sunday Bloody Sunday and Bullet the Blue Sky was incredible. One moment to remember after those was Bono singing Miss Sarajevo...he is a true Opera Star !!!! Pavarotti should give up now...
Later on came The Soul Anthem "Where the Streets Have no Name" with all the flags appearing in a fashionable way of colors. Followed by "One" in which the Arena turned into the "Milky Way" and all the lights went off...only lights we could saw were the ones from the cell phones !!!!
Then came the Encore with Stuck in a Moment dedicated to another great rock singer in Michael Hutchence (INXS)
The Big surprise of the night was to see the acoustic version of "Who's Gonna Ride...." , simply awesome !!! with Bono wearing a Cowboy Hat that someone from the crowd gave him...it seems like this song lasted forever !!!
The show was simply awesome...they played for about 2 hours, with more than 20 songs including 7 from their latest album and wrapping it up in old fashion with "40" !!!!
Lights went on and finally the dream of my little sister going to a U2 concert was completed...
Now let's keep our finger crossed so they dare someday to come to Venezuela....Let's DreamOutloud !!!
Thanks Carol, Jenny (Row)& Paolo for sharing the passion !!!
