After 12 years of waiting I finally made it! Flew from Colombia to witness the magic and the emotion I was sure to find inside a U2 show. This was the kind of thing I was sure I had to do before I die, so we were there: with my girlfriend, jumping, shouting, crying... no matter how many times you watch their DVDs or listen to their CDs, there's nothing like being there... it's a feeling, each song tunes you into a different mood.. from love to thrill, from anger to desire.
I can't recall exact details from every song since I was awfully mesmerized by the whole thing... however some of the highlights for me were:
- The first riffs on Edge's guitar at the begining of City of Blinding Lights (and the feeling they were already there)
- Until the end of the world + Mysterious Ways: raging!
- Who's gonna ride... amazing too
- Bono taking on the drums at Love, peace or else
- And of course: Streets!
For all of you that haven't had the chance to be there, you don't know what you're missing!
A show that stays in your heart...
