It's taken a while to get this review posted, but wow...what an amazing night. After a pretty uneventful wait in line (oh, besides the fact that Bono waved out the window from the motorcade), I was finally lucky enough to make it into the ellipse (this was my 3rd GA show)!!! We were directly in front of Edge on the rail...I just can't describe how amazing it is to watch the show from that close. I almost forgot that there were 20,000 people in the arena with me. The show was really tight and the band seemed to be having a great time...they really seem to love Miami. City of Blinding Lights set the stage for the amazing energy and quality the band brought to every song. It is kind of interesting to be that close and notice the small details you don't see from a different perspective...I mainly noticed how much Bono used the teleprompter...maybe he was having too much fun to remember the words. Anyway, it was a night I'll never forget...an amazing weekend...complete with a chance encounter running into Larry at Starbucks in Miami Beach!!
It was great meeting Manny, Yvi, Melissa and Gus in line -- and hope Cari and her husband from Wichita that we met in the ellipse had a great time and that you had a great birthday!!
One more show...this time in my home town of SLC...enjoy the photos...
