Although it has been a couple of weeks since I saw U2, I think I am still high on the experience!
This show was phenomenal. And that includes the guitar strings breaking and all. I actually thought that one of the great parts of the show was when the Edge was having trouble with his guitar and needed a second to fix it. It was awesome to see and hear the funny discourse between Bono and the Edge. It reminded me that they are just people doing their job (entertaining us!) and that mishaps are bound to happen. I think we were all lucky to see that, despite what others may say.
Being about 5 feet away from Bono and the Edge during most of the show was absolutely elevating (no pun intended!) It does make the show a lot more exciting and memorable.
My favorite parts were Sunday Bloody Sunday (as it was at the show on the 24th - that song moves me so much!), Until the End of the World (Bono and the Edge were 'bullfighting' right in front of me!), All I Want is You, Kite, Bullet the Blue Sky, and Walk On. My only complaint is that no songs from POP were heard... I am jealous of the U2 fans in Chicago who got a very diverse setlist including 11 o'clock tick tock, Out of Control, Discotheque, Staring at the Sun, Gone, and many more.
This night was probably one of the best ones in my life! I will remember it forever, and I hope to have more U2 memories in the near future.
Thank you, U2!
