After asking who can sing, play drums, guitar and bass, Bono brings up a random group of fans to play and sing "Desire." Two drummers use Larry's kit while Larry watches from the floor below. Other fans play guitar and bass, and one helps Bono sing the song. When it's all over, Bono lets the guitarist keep the instrument he was using.
During "Angel Of Harlem," Bono wishes Van Morrison a happy birthday -- Morrison turned 70 back on August 31st.
Bono sings a bit of Italian ("Torna A Surriento") before "Every Breaking Wave," and mentions that tomorrow is the anniversary of Luciano Pavarotti's death. He then dedicates EBW to Pavarotti's wife, Nicoletta, and their daughter, Alice. Later, Bono dedicates "Beautiful Day" to Pavarotti, too.
The show ends with a special surprise as Italian rock star, Zucchero, joins U2 on stage for "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For." Bono and Zucchero have been collaborating since the 1990s.
