Wow, this was such an amazing show. My 11th overall and very well could be the best. I had seen U2 at both Boston shows back in September and this was just on another level. The Raleigh crowd was awesome and the band played great. Bono's voice was powerful, and the rest of the guys were spot on. It didn't hurt that the weather was a crystal clear 70 degrees with a full moon either.
Really, I can't say enough about the crowd or the band. Completely sold out...not an empty seat in the house. I agree with some other reviews that having a little smaller venue doesn't hurt, and for some reason Carter-Finley stadium seemed to work better than Gillette in Boston.
Highs of the show for me:
I Still Haven't Found/Stand By Me
Amazing Grace/Streets
Ultraviolet
With or Without You
Vertigo
My brother gets to see the Tampa show tonight and all I can say is that I wish I was there...
