An excellent show, spoilt by Manchester stewarding (don't go there again please, fellas) and by Manchester by-laws (10.30 finish? you're having a laugh...) and of course as everyone has been saying by the crowd's lack of excitement. My theory is that so many people are busy with their mobile phones - texting, taking pics, ringing friends - that they get distracted. Fools... It will be interesting to see if its like that elsewhere in the UK.
But U2 were on top form, the PA was great, the screens were creative, interesting and clear - even in sunlight!
So thanks U2 - best band in the world by a billion miles- my sixth gig since 1981 - but stop going to Manchester, please
