Something absolutely incredible! It was a show to remember. The best U2 show that I have ever been to. I was in Miami for the first show, but the sound and the seats in the arena did not do justice to the band. But tonight in Houston, we were up close and personal. Row 2, on the edge of the heart. It was the most emotional performance the band has put on in some time. Bono's voice was glorious and the Edge, Adam and Larry lived up to all their legends.
To be able to see them in a small venue, is to feel the full force and beauty of U2. It was simply incredible. Very intimate. Bono read a paraphrased Psalm 116 and then went into an electrifying performance of Where the Streets Have No Name. Pure Power! On quite numerous occasions he stopped and "chatted" with the audience. There were not as many, if not only a handful, of Hard-Core U2 fans last night. People didnt sing along with the newer material. Not like Miami were 19,000++ sang along to every song. It was great nonetheless.
During the final song, Walk On, at the chorus line, he closed his eyes, lifted up a hand, and began to sing "Halleluiah" before closing out the song.
If you missed this one, search them out and see this show. If you caught this one, definitely catch another.
My friend and I, have seen them in Miami, now Houston, and will be searching them out in New York and closing out in Dublin @ Slane.
If you are a fan, GO ALL THE WAY!!!! The world's greatest rock N roll band is now on tour!!!!!
