it has nearly been 3 years since this gig took place but it still holds a place in my heart. the accompanying tour documents of slane and boston only reinforce just what a superb band these boys are.
I've seen Oasis twice and they're good but they don't match up to U2. what a night. waiting in the soaking rain for 2 hours outside, then another 2 inside waiting for the support act to go away.
elevation hits you like a tsuami, taking no prisoners. Until the end of the world does what it says in the title, make u feel like it is the end of the world. The euphoric sound of Edge ( I yelled mid solo Go Edge !!), defines for me the frustration of life in the city.
of course there is the timeless streets, when hundreds of people who you never met put your arms arounf you and start jumping to this classic song, you'can;t help but smile. PURE GENIUS.
The fly is apocalyptic as ever showing u2 can rock as hard as any heavy metal band.
£60 for a gig. Money well spent. i only wish I could have went to all the earls court gives.
Bring the boys back please. U2 ARE THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD.
